SHARP ARROWS – WORDS & PICTURES – FOR YOUR QUIVER
September 13th, 2009
Listen to me, all of you in far-off lands. The Lord called me before my birth. From within the womb He called me by my name. God will make my words of judgment sharp as swords. He has hidden me in the shadow of His hand. I am like a sharp arrow in His quiver.
Isaiah 49:1-2
1. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal; but they are mighty. They will expose and pull down every stronghold of Satan
(2 Corinthian 10:4).
2. Self-control is better than controlling an army (Proverbs 16:12).
3. Don’t accuse or find fault with anyone. Don’t accuse God. That’s Satan’s turf (Rev. 12:10)!
4. Don’t spend a day or dollar in a gambling casino or the like. You are tithing to the devil if you do.
5. Get out of Sodom and Gomorrah. Be ye separate! (Genesis 18:20-23; 19:1-29; 2 Cor. 6:14-18).
6. The anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20).
7. There is more hope for a fool than a man or woman of quick temper (Proverbs 29:20).
8. Don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought to (Romans 12:3).
9. We can’t be our own advocate. Ask Jesus to justify you – no one else can (1 John 2:1-2).
10. Don’t worship the “god of more.” Pray for “more of God.”
11. Don’t patronize the god of fast, cheap, convenient or comfortable.
12. Don’t purchase or peddle junk food. Treat both your body and soul with respect (1 Cor. 3:16-17).
13. Let the dead bury their dead (Matthew 8:22).
14. Don’t waste your oil on foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).
15. Thomas said, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:27).
16. “…at the name of JESUS every knee shall bow” (Philippians 2:10-11)
17. Being able to split truth from error is more valuable and more to be desired than splitting an atom.
18. Tears of repentance soften the heart of the Father, in fact, all fathers.
19. When thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren (Luke 22:32).
20. Don’t get ready, stay ready. Keep your powder dry and your slingshot and smooth stones handy. Be like another David!
Jesus, our Commander-in-Chief, needs lots of “Davids!”
21. Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He has prevailed. Welcome Him into your life.
(Revelation 5:5)

Serving others is a way of thanking God.
Study the Bible to be wise, believe it to be safe, practice it to be holy.
Live today as if you will stand before God tomorrow.
God gave you the gift of 864000 seconds today. Have you used one to say: "thank You?"
He who gives when he is asked, has waited too long.
Walk so close to God that nothing can come between.
Freedom requires that we learn and put in practice the three R's: Respect, Responsibility and Restraint.
Peace rules the day when Christ rules the mind.
