Home     |     Sitemap     |     Contents TOO LATE? November 11, 2019 Have we missed the train? Have we waited too long to redeem our trashed atmosphere and planet? Have we ignored the “global warming” too long? Was it a warning? Have we allowed greed and lust to ravage the planet? Unless God intervenes, it’s too little and too late what we are trying to do now. A blanket of filth has settled over planet earth. Some of it we can see, smell and even taste, but much of it is invisible, yet very real. Planet earth as we know it is on the highway to extinction. Get ready for that global wake-up call. It will be a global shake-up. Better get off it while you can. Sooner rather than later, planet earth will become a dead, lifeless planet. Astronomers already warned us that this would happen. Will we see the Book of Revelation become reality, maybe even in our lifetime? I am not worried. I am safe in the arms of my heavenly Father. Are you? We have been the worst possible stewards of this planet. It has affectionately been referred to as the “Goldilocks” planet. Our elected officials have nothing to brag about. And yes, we are the ones who have elected them. We often don’t find out we have elected a tyrant, dictator or warmonger until after they are in office. Their power and position has made them ruthless and reckless. Their many promises and charismatic ways have goaded us to vote for them. Wars and more wars are an indictment of their leadership and stewardship. So far I have not seen our leaders publicly get on their knees and ask heaven for help. Instead they go to other nations and form alliances that sooner or later blow up like a bad marriage. Scientists are fumbling for answers. They look in test tubes for answers. They don’t beseech heaven for answers, at least not publicly. Future generations, if there will be any, will be inheriting a garbage dump. If we should find a way to another “Goldilocks” planet, we will eventually do the same thing to it unless we have a change of heart, a big change of heart. At the moment all we are doing is frenetically throwing our limited resources of money, science, education and technology at global warming. We have been sold a bill of goods if we believe that erasing our carbon footprints is the answer to a healed planet. The real footprints that need erasing are the footprints left by sin. The atmosphere is charged, polluted and controlled by spirits of suicide, murder, revenge, anger, greed, lust, bitterness, hopelessness, fear. confusion, addictions of every kind, just to name a few. We can’t see them, but they are as real as a handshake. The media, the news, is daily pouring more filth into this very real but unseen realm. A good question to ask, “Am I guilty of polluting the atmosphere?” Lord, open our eyes. Convict our hearts. Wake us up from our deadness. Shine your light into our darkness. We are not only polluting our planet with physical filth, even worse, we are pouring spiritual garbage into the atmosphere which pollutes and controls our precious souls. The garbage projected onto our TV’s, computer screens and smart phones is a disgrace and a time waster. It is feeding monsters inside of us, the unredeemed part of our human nature. Pointing fingers makes no sense because no one is forcing us to look at or eat the garbage on the screen. If we don’t clean up the polluted atmosphere in us and our own backyard first, the world will continue to run amuck. And heaven will not hear our prayers. Every person is responsible for examining their own heart. We don’t need a priest or counselor for that; but it might help. Ask Jesus to forgive you and cleanse you before pointing a finger, at others, especially not at our past or present presidents. And then, don’t stuff yourself again with the trash the world and the devil offers; neither feed it or offer it to anyone else, especially not to your own children. If we do, we will be worse off than before. Hear these words that heaven has been shouting in the direction of planet earth: “If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust swarms to eat up all your crops, or if I send an epidemic among you, then, if my people will humble themselves and pray and search for me and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear their prayers and forgive their sins and heal their land.” (2Chronicles 7:14). Finally, don’t look to your elected officials for the answer. Do not look to science and technology for the answer. Do not look for alliances with other nations for the answer. Our strength does not depend on numbers or alliances. Our strength comes from trusting and obeying Almighty God. Cry out to Him and look deep within your own heart for the answer. Have the courage to ask, “Have I polluted the atmosphere by the way I am walking through life? Am I feeding on garbage, feeding it to others or am I creating it? Lord, please show me and with your help I will repent and do as you instruct me. And at the end of my days on planet earth bring me home to this new planet where there is never spoken a discouraging word.” Go to John 3:16 to pick up your exit visa from planet earth. It will take you to a safe and beautiful world where all your loved ones are already waiting for you.
